BIOCLERE® Submerged Aerated Filtration (SAF) by Rešetilovs un CO uses a combination of aeration, fixed and floating media, to support biofilm containing micro-organisms for purifying organic waste waters.

Multiple biozones ensure that an appropriate biological system develops according to the nature of the wastewater stream. Once established the process is self regulating, within the range of design loading specified, and offers a very stable treatment process.

BIOCLERE® Submerged Aerated filtration (SAF) technology offers an improved solution for the treatment of waste in the range of 45 to 200 cubic metres per day. Compared to older and less efficient technologies such as activated sludge, rotating biological contactors and open trickling filters, BIOCLERE® SAF has the following advantages:

Submerged aerated filtration (SAF) is suitable for hotels, golf clubs, restaurants, villages, housing estates, schools, hospitals, camping sites, holiday complexes, construction camp.

Suitable for installation close to habitation on account of its low noise and odour operation.

The plants can be contained in pre-fabricated buildings which makes them more discrete and able to blend into the environment.

The biofilter tank structure is fabricated in stainless steel for maximum strength and durability. Cladding can be provided to allow the units to blend into the site environment. Pipework and fittings are fabricated in combinations of stainless steel pvc or abs according to the duty required.

Access stairs, walkways and handrailings are constructed from galvanised mild steel. Multiple biozones are divided stainless steel cross walls with media support/restraint using stainless steel mesh.
